Aura is the online personification of this website's artist. Should anything happen to an avatar such as Aura, they regenerate in a new form since the artist in the "real world" still exists. Events and circumstances have caused Aura to regenerate at least twice as documented below.

1st Incarnation

Species: Elven

Quote: "I really wonder how anything gets done around here."

The original Aura tended to be gregarious and outspoken, often saying what was on her mind with little precaution. She was excited to be entering the world of webcomics, and who wouldn't be? Well, anyone sane, really, but that's not the point here. As such, Aura fit right into the group and quickly began to mingle.

Aura was present at the very first Comic Cookout in St. Louis and began numerous long-lasting relationships with other 'Spacers. Her association with what was then Keenspace, however, was short-lived. How and why she regenerated into the next incarnation of Aura remains a mystery to this day.

2nd Incarnation

Species: Cat / Elven

Quote: "There are times that even you make me wonder."

Inspiring and often times silly, Aura was a voice of reason usually when none was available. This level-headed nature normally was obfuscated by a fog of goofiness that made others believe her a jester rather than a mentor. However, she was quite intelligent and wasn't afraid to put her brain to good use.

Aura had a brief stint in the comic if then else, appearing from time to time to break the fourth wall and address the readers. This led to her untimely recruitment and subsequent death at the hands of the Evil Overlords United.

3rd Incarnation

Species: Stone

Quote: "There is wisdom in words, but reality often proves much more difficult."

Aura's third regeneration knows what it's like to be between a rock and a hard place - literally. Her stony appearance betrays a gentle and friendly disposition but fully represents her ability to stick with an idea and run with it no matter where it leads.

Unfortunately, information on the third incarnation of Aura is scarce. She's only been around, what, a month? Maybe two? Give her a little time to adjust. And maybe a crueller.

Azure Rain

Species: Human / Exalt

Quote: "Are you sure that's a good idea?"

Cautious and a bit inexperienced, Azure Rain is an adventurer-for-hire often going where trouble lies. He's a perpetual daydreamer, often seen laying in a field watching clouds or the stars. His finds and speculations are recorded in an old, leather-bound journal he keeps with him at all times.

Azure Rain had a run in an Exalted campaign for about a year before being retired. He also had a bit part in the comic if then else.

Chamois Cloth Man

Aliases: Shammy

Species: Chamois Cloth

Quote: "I'm on it little buddy!"

Look up in the sky! It's a bird, it's a plane! No, it's Chamois Cloth Man, and it's a windy day!

Chamois Cloth Man is the quintessential golden age hero, stepping in where angels fear to tread and using any and every cliche available to defeat any evil that lurks in the city. Fully licensed with the Federated Guild of Superheroes, CCM provides a shining example as to what true heroism is. Unitzoid trained with him for a short while and then became somthing of a partner before being dismissed from the Guild.

As with Unitzoid, CCM appeared briefly in the comic if then else.

Lyril

Species: Human / Exalt

Quote: "I'm sorry. I'm so, so sorry."

Lyril is on her own these days, wearing a scarf as the only momento of a life she once had. Not too long ago, her father, an accomplished healer, was still alive, and the mystery behind her mother's disappearance shortly after her birth was still ambiguous. Lyril has traveled far from her home in the frozen mountains of the north in search of answers . . .

Much of Lyril's story remains to be written - her character was only active for three sessions of Exalted.

Mira

Aliases: None

Species: Human / Exalt

Quote: "Care to say that to my face?"

Overemotional, uncontained and fierce, Mira is the sort of person you really don't want to meet in a dark alley. She always follows a path that she perceives as just; however, she will do just about anything to achieve her current goal. She sticks to her convictions and, quite often, is very stubborn.

Mira ran as an Exalted character until the end of the campaign. However, she was revived for a role in if then else.

Unitzoid

Aliases: Unit

Species: Unknown

Quote: "I'll do whatever I can."

Unitzoid is a good-intentioned superhero with the ability to manipulate water molecules to almost any effect. His path is long and difficult, and a number of the challenges he faces test his limits, but, in the end, he manages to persevere.

In accordance with directive eleven of the Federated Guild of Superheros, Unitzoid was placed on suspension for using lethal force while stopping a dimensional incursion. Whether he will return has yet to be determined.

A number of Unitzoid's recent events are shown in if then else, and he recently participated in the second Comic Genesis Arena Battle. More drawings of Unitzoid may be found in his gallery.
