Heading for the Light June 25, 2007 First off, business: if then else will be returning July 2nd. The schedule will fluctuate between two and five updates a week, but there's a reason for that I'll touch on in a bit. I haven't forgotten about the comic. As I've said somewhere before, it needs to be seen through to the end. On the topic of ends, I've decided to leave Columbia, Missouri. I feel it's time to move on. A lot of things have been stagnant in my life, and the only real way to change that is to seek a new adventure; a new place to live. I'm not sure where as of yet, but I'm working on it. This is why the comic didn't make the revival date of June 18th and why the update schedule will fluctuate (also why there haven't been any updates on Unitzoid). Most free time is being devoted to brainstorming about and researching potential cities. If anyone has a suggestion, feel free to drop me a line using the e-mail on the main page. And for those curious about the title of this post, here are a few relevant lines from the Traveling Wilburys song, Heading for the Light: Ooh - I didn't see that big black cloud hanging over me My shoes are wearing out from walking down this same highway Cookouts & Moves June 14, 2007 The comic cookout this year was an absolute blast! So much happened - wish I could remember it all! One of these days I'm going to be well rested at one of these events and not look at pictures afterwards and wonder what I was doing. Still, from what I can remember, everyone was fun to hang out with. There was a lot of sketching involved (those will be scanned when I have the time), swimming, ice cream, bar-b-que, hugs, games, dancing . . . yeah, a lot happened. Surprisingly, I only gave out about three bags worth of taffy. I was expecting fifty-some people to gobble it up quicker. I also had a chance to talk with a few people about a decision I'm contemplating. The short of it is that I have a choice to make: move in with a friend in Wisconsin or stay here and take a new full-time job doing what I've been doing part-time on the side (guarding an art gallery). One is a bit reckless and fun and breaks the rut I'm in; the other is stable and will provide more of a safety net for when I do decide to move on. I was supposed to make a decision at the cookout. I didn't and instead opted to gather more info on top of what I already know. This includes a trip up there this weekend. Wish me luck . . . And for those of you awaiting the next bit for if then else? I'll be posting some news on that website before I leave for Wisconsin. We're Back in Business! June 1, 2007 As you've probably already gathered, Unitzoid is back to operational status. Huzzah! Most of the website is here, but a few small pieces are missing. A forum, for one. A comment system for this blog and the gallery for another. The latter might take some time to hash out, but the former should be up before the end of the month. I'm hoping it'll see more use than the if then else NightStar forum did. For those interested in what's up with if then else, the rerelease date might extend to July depending on whether or not I move out of state. I'll keep everyone posted on the comic's website and here. Okay, as the ninth doctor put it, that's enough 'chin wagging'. Go out and explore the website! If you need to contact me, that information is on the main page. |
