Excuses? We don't need any stinkin' excuses!

Okay, perhaps we do. It's the same old story - moving, setting up, keeping busy with work and side projects, etcetera, etcetera, etcetera.

The base code is shaping up, though, and pretty soon will be complete. Once this "foundation" is complete, the real work for the website can begin!

And as far as the comic being on the back burner is concerned (mentioned in the last post), that may change. We'll see where things go.

For those of you who have been here before, this page will look very, very familiar.

Why yet another (hopefully not-as-long-as-the-last) redesign? Unitzoid 4.0 didn't update for almost 2 years (November 12, 2007 for those keeping track), and there are two reasons behind the change (and lack of updates):

1) The code is difficult to update. While the premise of dynamically building the site is cool, the upkeep becomes a problem when you factor in the code being a first venture into PHP. Can anyone say spaghetti code? I sure can!

2) A change of focus will alter many key components of the website. I'm not pursuing the same activities as I was then, and it'd be nice for the website to adapt to changes easier (see first point).

I'm pushing for a January 1, 2010 upload date at the latest, October 1, 2009 at the earliest. We'll see what happens. ^_^

And for those wondering about my (not updating) comic, if then else, it's on the back burner until the website is finished. Sorry, but I need time to rebuild the website and sharpen the drawing skills I've been neglecting since April.
